Following the huge success of its first Low Code EXPO 2020 event, genesis recently followed this up with another spectacular show – continuing its pioneering series by exploring application development innovation for Asset Managers and Brokers.
Exploring Low Code for Buy-Side IT
Taking place on 26 August, the second episode of EXPO 2020 built on the firm foundations of the first. It showcased how Low Code is transforming Buy-Side IT delivery – and why firms are turning to the genesis Low Code Application Platform (LCAP) for enterprise-grade solutions.
This month’s special guest was BTON Financial, the independent outsourced dealing desk for asset managers. On the agenda were topics such as how to handle the sophistication of Buy-Side operations and the need to adapt to increased regulatory oversight.
We also enjoyed a demonstration of the ‘Smart Broker Router’, the transformational order management and broker execution application developed using the genesis LCAP.
Developing enterprise solutions for Brokers
Once again, the event featured a panel of industry experts – this time from genesis and BTON Financial. James Harrison, COO & Co-Founder of genesis, opened the show with the latest news from across genesis and the market.
Daniel Shepherd, CEO of BTON Financial, then gave us an in-depth view of how the firm is using Low Code innovation to transform the Buy-Side with their outsourced trading desk. This was followed by Nick Kolba, Global Head of Platform for genesis, sharing an update on the genesis LCAP – exploring how it’s reducing development times for firms by up to 80%.
Finally, Pieternal Kimman, Sales Manager for genesis, gave us a full demonstration of the BTON Financial Smart Broker Router system. Alongside its powerful functionality, she highlighted how the genesis LCAP has the capability to deliver similar high-quality applications at speed.
A new way to host live B2B events
The Low Code EXPO 2020, delivered by genesis and ditto, is an innovative six-month programme of live digital events that offer a new way to engage with and build an audience. Broadcast live from London, New York and Miami, each monthly show is set to feature interviews, use cases, demos and discussion from Sell-Side, Buy-Side, Asset Managers and Venues.
Designed to seamlessly switch between live studio segments and pre-recorded footage, EXPO 2020 moves away from the traditional static view of a webinar to deliver an experience more akin to live TV. It gives genesis the ability to create dynamic, engaging content that resonates with its audience – whether they watch the live stream on one of many digital channels or catch up with it on-demand from the genesis website.
It’s an exciting new way to connect with customers during a time when people are still mostly working away from the office.
