The genesis Low-Code EXPO 2020 continues, with a new special on Business & Tech Drivers for next year – focusing on why Low-Code is the hot ticket for Buy-Side in 2021.

Taking place on 30 September, the third episode of EXPO 2020 highlighted what Low-Code application development means for the Asset & Wealth Management Industry – and why it should be a top priority as firms set out their budgets and strategies for 2021.

This month’s special guest was Alpha FMC, the specialists in helping asset and wealth managers to think smarter and shape the future of their businesses.

Cutting the costs of IT delivery for Financial Markets

The show kicked off with an update from Stephen Murphy, CEO & Co-Founder of genesis, as he shared the latest news from across genesis and the Low-Code market. José Pozo, Head of Core Development for genesis, then gave us a detailed look at how the genesis LCAP server-side components improve the development process for users.

Following this, we were joined by Olivia Vinden, Director and Head of Fintech and Innovation for Alpha FMC; and Dave Nathan, Associate Director for Alpha FMC. They explored the challenges and opportunities facing asset and wealth managers as they plan for 2021 – along with how Low-Code application development can help firms make the most of tight budgets.

James Ferguson, Head of New Business Development at genesis, also gave us a demonstration of the genesis wealth management application. Showcasing the app’s integration capabilities, he highlighted how it provides Financial Markets firms with a fully automated and audited workflow for financial advisors, traders, operations and compliance teams.

A smart, creative approach to live B2B events

The Low-Code EXPO 2020, delivered by genesis and ditto, is a smart six-month programme of live digital events. Broadcast live from London, New York and Miami, each monthly show is set to feature interviews, use cases, demos and discussion from Sell-Side, Buy-Side, Asset Managers and Venues.

Designed to seamlessly switch between live studio segments and pre-recorded footage, EXPO 2020 moves away from the traditional static view of a webinar to deliver the experience of live TV. It gives genesis the ability to create longtail content that engages its audience – whether they watch the live stream on one of many digital channels or catch up with it on-demand from the genesis website.

It’s a new way to connect with customers during a time when people are returning to working from home.
