ditto and Fora are collaborating to host a ‘Women in Tech’ event to mark International Women’s Day on Thursday 8th March.

As Britain marks 100 years of the march towards Woman’s Rights, Fora is presenting a week of empowering events centred around International Women’s Day 2018 – celebrating women, females in industry and their role in the workplace.

On International Women’s Day itself, Thursday 8th March, ditto and Fora are co-hosting a high-profile panel of leading technology revolutionaries, who will be discussing women’s contributions and opportunities across the technology industry. This event will be the opening session in a year-long series, designed to promote and encourage women to pursue rewarding STEM careers.

The event will open with a Keynote address from Dr. Ruth Wandhöfer, Managing Director at Citi and a member of the 2016 & 2017 ‘Women in FinTech Powerlist.’ The curated audience will then enjoy a panel discussion between Danielle Newnham, author of Female Innovators at Work: Women on Top of Tech and founder of The Junto Network, an online network for tech entrepreneurs; George Berkwoski, CPO of Gocompare.com and co-founder of Hailo; Nicola Anderson, VP of marketing at Gocardless, and Dr. Sian Lewin, COO of RegTech start-up RIMATEC and independent Regulatory expert for the Financial Services sector.

With only 14% of female employees within the technology sector, Georgie Barrat, tech journalist and presenter of The Gadget Show, will lead the discussion on the inequality and solutions to address it and encourage more women into the sector.
