A catch-up with ditto Interns, Rory and Eleanor: Week 1
Hi there, I’m Rory Jordan, a second-year arts student at Maynooth University studying philosophy, politics and economics. I am thoroughly enjoying my time working in the garden-style offices at the Dogpatch Labs in Dublin – a start-up hub for innovative companies.
And I’m Eleanor Coyne, in my second-year also, studying Business at Cardiff University. I’m working from Fora, London, a trendy workspace, where I was greeted at the start of the week with a full Fora breakfast of pancakes, bacon and maple syrup – side-note: I could really get used to this!
Kicking off Week 1 at ditto, we composed a list of trade publications to help our clients get connected to the world of FinTech and RegTech. In the next few weeks, we’ll be reaching out to them to expand ditto’s PR network.
For our second task we researched Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) in the real estate market, looking at both companies who have completed their ICOs and companies who are still in pre-ICO stages. This research will provide our clients with a better understanding of the current state of the market and how similar companies have fared.
Although this field of work was completely new to us at first, we now have a deeper understanding of cryptocurrencies and blockchain, as well as FinTech publications. We will put our newly-learnt knowledge to good use in the coming weeks.
That’s all from us this week,
Rory & Eleanor
