We don’t just attend events at ditto, we make them happen!

On 5th March the ditto team took over Dogpatch Labs (with their permission) and hosted Blockchain Connect Dublin – a day of talks and webinars, demos and networking with the industry’s leading innovators.

Despite the recent COVID-19 outbreak disrupting international travel plans for some, Blockchain Connect continued to be a successful turnout, gathering a community of blockchain experts, entrepreneurs and enthusiasts. Our webinar discussions were all live streamed during the event, enabling participants and guest speakers to be physically in the room or tune in online – an immersive digital experience.

Take a look at the highlights from our event in the heart of Dublin’s tech innovation district.

Live Webinars

We took a deep dive into how blockchain technology is transforming across industries with our expert webinars. Our panellists joined us virtually and in the room, to share their insights to audiences online and in the main theatre – 200 year old refurbished whiskey vaults at Dogpatch Labs:

‘Smart Cities: The facts of IoT and blockchain’

We kicked off Blockchain Connect by understanding how blockchain and other emerging technologies are creating truly connected smart cities, opening up new possibilities for the people that live within them.

‘Dawn of the Digital Capital Markets’

This webinar assessed the capital markets on the cusp of a digital revolution, separating the fact from fiction of crypto and digital assets. The lively panel discussed the current state of play, implications on the industry and a round up of future predictions for financial services.

‘Let’s Get Started: Meet the Investors’

Our third webinar of the day discussed what the year ahead holds for Blockchain, with markets views Post-Davos and Post-Brexit. It offered insight and actionable steps for budding entrepreneurs to be successful – to make great ideas pitch ready.

Industry Roundtables

Up next it was our Industry round tables – with an introduction in the main theatre from Enterprise Ireland’s Padraic Geraghty and ditto’s Blockchain Connect Cordinator, Jonathan Singer.  Two streams ‘New Digital Economies’ and ‘Smart Cities / Smart Citizens’ then split off to provide a show and tell of real world use cases of blockchain innovation.
