Campfire presents ‘Big Boost Mondays’ with Jo Mangan – pushing the boundaries of art and performance

Big Boost Mondays is a gathering of the like-minded on the first Monday of the month, to enjoy an evening with inspirational speakers and “doers” from the world of technology, art and culture. The event will take place at our brilliant FORA studio in Clerkenwell, London.

Our complimentary alcohol-free bar is a great place to catch up with friends and make new ones too, and provides a great space for creative networking.

In the second 2019 ‘Campfire’ series, we were joined by Irish award-winning theatre and artistic director Jo Mangan.

Jo Mangan is not just an art director… she curates emotions and feelings, bringing them together to be experienced through diverse and immersive award winning festivals across Ireland and beyond. Jo is currently curating the Ireland exhibition for the Prague Quadrennial Design Exhibition through the creation of a Virtual Reality film Design and Destroy, which will be shown at Dublin Theatre Festival and Belfast Festival.

Campfire // Jo Mangan Podcast

From DJing in the nightclubs of Venezuela to presenting Kofi Annan with one million signatures on behalf of Amnesty International, Jo’s career has been as varied as it’s been illustrious.

Jo talks about tempting her partner into showbusiness, how to fund the arts ethically and the impossibility of forcing creativity to fit corporate KPIs.
