Big Boost Mondays is a gathering of the like-minded on the first Monday of the month, to enjoy an evening with inspirational speakers and “doers” from the world of technology, art and culture. The event will take place at our brilliant FORA studio in Clerkenwell, London.
Our complimentary alcohol-free bar is a great place to catch up with friends and make new ones too, and provides a great space for creative networking.
Our ‘Big Boost Mondays – Women in tech’ event was part of a wider celebration for International Women’s Day 2020. In this special edition of Big Boost Mondays, we were joined by a panel of three challengers from innovative firms who champion diversity in the workplace.
We were at full capacity for an insightful evening as Tasha Chouhan – Head of Business Development for Banking Services at Starling Bank, Jennifer Steele – Senior Product Developer at Genesis Global Technology and Shilpa Shah – Alternate Delivery Models and Women in Technology Leader at Deloitte, discussed how their firms are striving for more diverse, inclusive and successful technology workforces.

Currently less than 20% of the 1.4 Million people in the E.U studying tech are women, whilst only around 15% of employees working in STEM roles in the UK are female.
Recorded at Soho Studios, this podcast is an open and honest discussion about the importance of diversity within workforces, why tech firms at all levels of maturation need to ensure a rich mix of employees and how different lifestyles require alternate delivery models for working environments. The challengers give inspirational stories behind their own careers in tech, also sharing exciting projects and initiatives to get involved in – positively impacting the future of people and firms in the tech industry.

‘Big Boost Mondays – Women in tech’ highlighted tech industry challenges and triumphs, from the perspective of three challengers – Jennifer Steele from New York Headquartered challenger software firm Genesis Global Technology, Tasha Chouhan from UK challenger bank Starling Bank and Shilpa Shah from global challenger consultancy Deloitte. They shared how their firms are driving inclusive initiatives, best work practices and how companies are providing platforms for successful careers in tech – for all.
Along with a live audience Q&A, we delved deeper into what the tech industry is doing to establish a broader diversity and inclusive workforce, what people can expect from a challenger workplace and the realities of working for a tenacious tech firm hungry for change. We also got to grips with the necessary attributes and skills that are needed to fuel successful and diverse tech firms.
